EMERGENCY SOCIAL ASSISTANCE (Ext. 206)
The Emergency Assistance Social Office assists individuals and families in crisis or in emergency situations. It provides clients with basic needs such as financial assistance, food, and refers them to other services if needed. This office works closely with other private and public entities to better serve the individuals and families.

JOB SERVICES (Ext. 208)
The Job Service office assists individuals seeking employment. Applicants are notified of job openings and are referred to potential employers matching their skills and interests. Applicants must have authorized documentation to legally work in the U.S.A in order to qualify for this service.

IMMIGRATION SERVICES (Ext. 205 or Ext. 203)
Immigration Counselors accredited by the Board of Immigration provide services to low income clients. These services include: consultation, assistance in filling out forms for citizenship, visa extension, green card renewals, work authorization, and application for family visas. They also translate legal documents like birth and marriage certificates, divorce and school documents.

VOLUNTEER INCOME TAX ASSISTANCE (Ext. 209)
This program strives to help individuals and self-employed individuals in preparing tax returns, informing of services, regulations, and tax concerns issues and providing small business workshops that impact and educate the community in partnership with IRS Department. With local experience, our TAX/VITASC and volunteers provide practical counseling and guidance on tax related issues.

LATINO HEALTH ACCESS NETWORK (Ext. 237 or 736-5047, 736-5048)
LHAN’s mission is to improve the access to primary medical care to uninsured and underinsured Hispanics. LHAN works with several medical care providers and community organizations to accomplish its goal. Its primary function is to connect clients with existing health services and assist them in accessing the health system appropriately. Health Promoters also assist clients fill out Medicaid and food stamp applications. Their offices are located on the campus of the Louisiana Technology College (LTC) in Metairie.

WORKERS’ RIGHTS INITIATIVE (Ext. 223)
The goal of the Worker’s Rights Initiative is to do community outreach, education, and advocacy regarding wage, labor, and immigration issues. This work benefits newly-arrived immigrant workers that are helping in the rebuilding of our communities following hurricane Katrina.  Offices are located at the Workers Resource Center in New Orleans. Services are offered and outreach is done throughout the community including the St. Joseph Rebuild Center at St. Joseph Church.

PUBLIC SAFETY (Ext. 223)
This service is in collaboration with Puentes Inc. We educate the community about public safety issues and work in improving the relationship between law enforcement agencies and the community.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM (722-5692)
This service offers English as a Second Language (ESL) and citizenship classes to adult learners. Classes are held in collaboration with different organizations at different locations throughout the New Orleans Metropolitan area.

HOUSING COUNSELING (310-6922)
Assist clients one-on-one by guiding, educating and assisting them with budgeting and credit counseling.

RADIO SHOW/COMMUNITY LIAISON (Ext. 211)
We host a weekly 30 minute live show on the local Latin radio stations. Each week different guests are interviewed about various topics and issues pertaining to the Latin community.

ADVOCACY
We continually advocate on issues related to Immigration, Housing, Public Safety, Race Relations, Health, Employment, Education, Disaster Preparedness and Community Development.
